Melanie and Will first met on Gwynn's Island, Virginia in the summer of 1993, when both were just 13 years old.  Melanie's family spent a large portion of their summers at Narrow's Marina on the island before
heading south to the Bahamas for the winter.  Will often visited the island with his friend Trey and Trey's family, staying aboard their cabin cruiser, the Pammy S.  It was during one of these visits that the two
finally had the chance to meet, and the v-berth of the Pammy S became the location of their first kiss.  During the next 5 years, over 120 letters were exchanged, but they only had the opportunity to see each other again
twice.  Soon they lost touch with one another, until one night in Ft. Lauderdale in January 2008....

After an email and a phone call, both agreed to meet up at the Bahia Cabana on Ft Lauderdale Beach for dinner.  Neither had seen the other in 13 years, but it soon became clear that their teenage crush was much more
than that.  Soon after, Will moved to Ft. Lauderdale and in October, they were married.  They have since purchased a 1986 Starwind 19 that they named Annabel Lee after the Edgar Allan Poe poem of the same
name.  Their plan, for now, is to take their trailersailer on many adventures in and around Florida, while looking to the future for the day they will be able to purchase a sailing vessel big enough for them and their
future family...
