Melanie is a U.S. Coast Guard licensed captain, and has lived and worked on boats almost all her life. You can check out her Short Story column in Cruising World Magazine. Other publications include nonfiction, fiction and poetry in The
Georgetown Review, Florida Humanities, Soundings, Southwinds, the Miami Herald's Tropical Life, The Crew Report, Cruising World and others. She also edited the book Yoga Onboard, and has received various awards for her writing.
